OUR STORY
To understand this brand, you must firstly know that our journey started many years before I was born. My grandparents immigrated from India, into a 3-bedroom Victorian house on the outskirts of London, which housed up to 17 members of family at one time. Now, between those 4 walls was plenty of craziness and chaos but it always coated in love, togetherness, and unity. This was also a home where our family strived to make a better life for themselves and their generations to come. Where language was once obstacle and education was uncertain, their hard work has provided me unimaginable opportunities. Almost 25 years later, I was born into the same house with my siblings where I carry many of my fondest memories and this recognition belong solely to my family.
Although many of us in my family have been blessed enough to venture beyond our humble beginnings, that house still stands tall today and shining outside that house is a number we once all called home, number 8 (VIII). So for me VIII means family, community, togetherness, strength, but above all – forever. That’s why, VIII believes in creating more than a brand but paving the way for a better future beyond us which is why 5% of VIII profits will be donated to charity.
